I think I was agreeing with you. United Healthcare won't even offer me a health insurance plan next year because my business only has 5 employees so I'm on a Anthem Blue Cross Silver plan. Premiums for the year are $20,000 for my family of 4. Thanks Obama.

That jobs are higher than they have been in a year even though every job report is drastically under expectations.

We live in 1980s russia where the shadows point in all directions and the goverment is like, "no no that's the way it's supposed to be, things are great!"

Everything is great, but also if you are unvaccinated you will die a slow horrible death.

Ill take the public option, thank you.

Speaking of which, why wont the GOP vote for allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices? Are they in the pocket of big pharma? (answer is yes)

This is the same reason they are calling a public option socialism mind you (even though every other industrialized country has nationalized healthcare). Hint: They dont want healthcare prices to come down, because their donors (for profit insurance and the big health systems) dont want their giant profit margins to disappear. GOP (and moderate dems like Max Baucus-voted out in 2010) are to blame.

Right... just the GOP in corporate pockets.

Despite bipartisan support for prohibiting members of Congress from buying and holding individual stocks in office, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Wednesday that lawmakers should be allowed to make trades while serving.

“We’re a free market economy,” Pelosi told reporters during a news conference. “They should be able to participate in that.”

People were expecting a free and comprehensive health care system. You have to take care of property but people are not property, unless they sign that away but then your bottom doesn't belong to you anymore.

More people I know have contracted covid in the last couple weeks than have for me in the entire pandemic afaik

I am up to at least 4 maybe more! All vaccinated (so I think that means they will be fine) or perhaps omni is just less potent than delta. Or maybe all my friends are about to die but I dont think so, so much so that Im willing to make that joke.

Anyone else have a recent influx in infections around them??

Uncle caught it, got over in his 60’s by eating horse paste (apple flavored!), unvaxxed

Grandma caught it, got over it in her 90’s by eating horse paste (apple flavored!), unvaxxed, but she did have to go to an ER for complications after getting over it. And it taxed her, might have cost her her independence (moving to nursing home). But she survived, cause we built tough

They both are also now reporting no parasites

I believe you, paste eaters.

Remember when they said Hydroxychloroquine
Common brands: Plaquenil
Immunosuppressive drug and Anti-parasite

Worked until it didn't

Ports can be both open and have a queue for ships to dock.

Demand for goods is so high, crate fees from China are up 9x pre-pandemic. They're going to go down, but not all the way right away. $27K now, was $3.5K in 2019.

Jobs reports depend so heavily on the working poor who can't afford to buy anything anyway that they become less relevant year after year.

Look at what people who earn a living wage are spending. Look at commercial real estate space.

Finally, the cost of childcare is out balance. Why work for $12/hour when you can go to Amazon for $20+? Less availability and centers running at 50% capacity are raising rates thus pricing some young parents out of the workforce.

And yea, by February many/most of us will have had COVID. I'm liking my chances to be asymptomatic or mildly ill based on Pfizer x2 and Moderna booster. We'll see.
