We should pay physicists to pursue PhDs, not linebackers to pursue quarterbacks

Hope this helps!

Fuck you if you think you're entitled to it. It's one of the few things not 3000% fucked up yet, tho it already seems to be a career choice riddled with bureaucracy and bullshit. Rather then merit or might.

How is someone who has to get approval from a board of people "entitled" ??? I dont understand your point. How is someone entitled to a scholarship they were selected for from an entire school?? They didnt work for it at all? The college just points at kids on the street and says "ok you're gonna be a QB, get in" or is there a rigorous selection process??

Tell us, since you know. lol

The athletes are not used to recruit other students?? Who wants to join a losing team?? You recruit with the offer of "you could be playing with tebow" or whatever it may be. To say that an athlete should not be paid because they were paid with a scholarship, what about all the other scholarships? Academic, music, or sports, if the college is making money off the student, the student should see a piece of it. Not millions of dollars. Nobody has ever said millions of dollars.

There is a number between zero and ALL OF IT.

College is free in texas. Should the athletes used to make money for the colleges through the games, sales, merchandise be paid?? The college was free, already.

See how that works??? Then you say some dumb shit like "lets pay the athletes the math money".

Im afraid you dont know how schools spend money.

The money that department gets at every school in the country is reduced and spent on stadiums and advertising and recruiting and number of employees athletic require to name a few things.

If you think adding paying athletes (and not math students) wont result in more of that money being siphoned off, then I have a republican candidate who thinks trickledown economics works Id like you to vote for.

Unfortunately, the possibility of DOH manipulating information is not a stretch.”

Now shes got whistle blower status. Imagine that. You get trash out of the government and it starts to function again. I know thats the whole republican thing.. Break the government then point to it and say "its broken!".

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Former colleagues of fired dashboard designer Rebekah Jones and public health experts tell CBS12 News her claims that she was directed to delete COVID cases and deaths from the state’s data are unsupported by the evidence.

In a now-deleted tweet from December 2020, Jones also alleged that Dr. Roberson “told me to delete cases and deaths.” Jones went on to demand Roberson resign.

But, unlike the emails obtained by the Tampa Bay Times, Jones provides no evidence that these interactions occurred.

CBS12 News sent Jones and her attorney a request for evidence proving she was asked to alter raw COVID data and we have not heard back.

In a recent, also deleted, tweet Jones backtracked writing that "deleting deaths was never something I was asked to do. I've never claimed it was."

1. We should be subsidizing the education of teachers, not athletes. What is the relative societal value for the profession? That’s how scholarships should be disbursed, based on societal need and job saturation

2. Title IX means that college athletics is actually a money burning industry. To pay football players at the few schools where they net the university money, would be to overall reduce the amount of financial support going to other athletics programs under Title IX and other education overall

Athletes absolutely should not be paid, and honestly, we should require more for participation and stop publicly funding stadiums as well. We glorify the dumbest fucking people in the US. SAD BIGLY

No shit. Thats not going to happen though. This is america, not europe. Athletes will be paid before everyone else. Thats just the way it is. Once they get paid, they will move on to everyone else or not.

Dont cry to us about it, do something. We should be paying the educators tons of money to keep them here. They should be traded between colleges like players. There should be a draft every year for teachers and scientists coming out of high school and college. This country could be SO much more, but it wont be. The athletes will be first. Thats just how it is. I dont make the fuckin rules, I didnt write the shit, but the implication is nation wide and spreads to other fields.

You cant see how this can be used in the future to justify paying students who make real contributions to society in science and research fields to get a chunk of their contribution??

Shit should be like this
