both wind and solar power are generated by the sun which is a fusion reaction caused by gravity, this requires zero outside energy to cause the reaction, thus it is zero point.
but its still like 10,000 hectares of land for wind or solar to equal your average nuclear fission power plant's output.

Nuclear is great. I just don’t believe anyone wants it. We’d also have to regulate it pretty closely so we don’t have shit like east Palestine, Ohio, but with plutonium
I heard new molten salt reactors and thorium have much more upside with way less risk, but I know next to nothing about nuclear power so I wouldn’t want to debate anything. I just don’t think there’s an appetite for it, even if it could get us off of fossil fuels in 5-10 years |
