One might observe that "The GOP seems incapable of puting forward a good candidate" and at the same time, when victory for anyone remotely human like was assured, the DNC puts forward Joe Biden, an extremely cringe man who appeared to be glued together on stage, woken up with a drug cocktail to make his appearances and then carted off.

It wasn't long ago that we can remember Joe's 1 or 2 TV appearances during Obama's presidency before he became permanently silent for the remaining 8 years.

So the question is, why do these parties run by rich and successful people continue to put forward absolutely embarrassing candidates?

My conclusion is that the results are the goal. Everything we see around us today and this discussion on this message board is the intention. The big parties that can positively smash any chance of an alternate party realize that they have more power than ever when most of us can't even bear to look at the TV anymore. And those of us that can look at the TV get so deranged that they can't think about anything but what their enemy party is plotting and how it will destroy the country.

Meanwhile, DNC and GOP bosses rule unopposed, tell us inflation isn't happening when it by definition is happening, but they aren't worried a lick because when it all falls apart, they are going to be sitting right on top where they like to be sitting, ill gotten gains retained.

You're way off base talking about these candidates like they matter. What matters is you and your sisters and your brothers and your neighbors and how you take care of each other.

The actions of the parties indicate that they share one overarching all important agenda and that is for you and I to be powerless, hopeless, penniless, and ideally mad at the person that lives next door to us, rather than at our government specifically.

The only other explanation that makes sense is that the GOP and DNC guys don't even think about the fallout they are creating and are indeed just getting whatever payoff is the largest and the internal turmoil / mayhem we are living in means nothing to them, but is a PRC / RF plot to weaken our democracy and our "leaders" are too busy piling up money to care.

Not sure what makes more sense.

I sure hope Trump decides to run again in 2024, if there's one thing everybody knows it's that Americans love losers.
