This is "miss the forest for the trees"

I disagree with you because we could list off every city, and every nighborhood in them, and I can prove to you that poor artists, price out all the minorities that have lived there, every. single. time.

All the while they blame people in north Dakota for supporting colonization. It's comedy.

I really wish the world didn't suck so bad China is gonna probably win though.

We'll have to keep the dream alive in a secret EQ server within the Great Red Firewall.

Best case scenario is we all have social credit scores in 20 years, worst case scenario is we dont need them because the population is halved.

I just hope it happens soon enough that I can at least retire in the roaring 1950's 2 rather than die of lack of medical care during the smoldering craters of 1940s 2 :D

That's fine, NIMBYs and gentrifiers come in both Democrat and Republican flavors. I can imagine most of them tell themselves they are 'helping the community' by improving buildings or whatever, they don't see themselves as actively pricing out people that already live there

I do find that fewer Republicans live in dense cities because they're generally afraid of non-white people, but that's also true of most of the Democrats that live there

I live in Atlanta, for example, but my parents would blow a gasket if I uttered the simple sentence "I am taking MARTA to the airport", the racism is disguised as fear of crime stirred up mostly by local news stations

Jibartik 11-18-2021 02:31 PM

ok atlanta is a perfect example.

Prices skyrocketed in altlanta for 2 reasons, they tried to move hollywood there.

Now libs who moved hollywood there, demand that atlanta change to be more like california.

That's the same as driving boats to a new land and giving everyone blankets.

Am I wrong? :)

I'm not sure what you are trying to argue here, or if it's an argument at all. I'm not a liberal, and liberals are kind of worse than conservatives to me in a lot of ways. At least conservatives just flat out tell you they are awful racists and classists who only care about money and their personal interests to your face these days, I'll take that over the knife in the back from a liberal claiming to be an 'ally' only to spread more of their disgusting capitalist filth into yet another community
