Gandalf the grey vs whatever he was afterwards... two entirely separate beings, guessing Gv2 the white, just had the greys memories not his personality or abilities. That sorta thing.

Plus it's magic. It probably requires balancing or something..since sauromon is stronger Gandalf gets bigger spells, around orcs tho that are more ugly than strong he just has showy moves.
