Idk. Imo that is why God gave us free will and doesn't demand absolute obedience. I just take the stuff about hell as a metaphor for what Satan leads people to. Or sin. It's not literal. For some it is. That's their choice though. And the only way they will find God is having the freedom to make that mistake and idolize his word and their beliefs over God himself.

You can literally visit the divine beings in their alternate planes of existence. They have real influence on the world and you can see it all over. Divine powers of healing energy literally keep a flying saucer levitating above Qeynos, and you are welcome to use the teleport pads to visit it whenever you want. Curses spoken by necromancers invoking the will of their gods produce clearly real and terrifying effects, just as paladins blessed by their deities can literally bring us back from death.

Only partially and not as good as clerics or necromancer tho. So maybe, just maybe they're not like 100 on the level. Who knows what is actually bringing us back from the dead when a Palidin is attempting it.
