orc scalps + Mazziana Ridgerunner

Logged an alt tonight and noticed that orcs in CB are dropping orc scalps since the patch. Not sure if she's due to be in yet but a "Mazziana Ridgerunner" has a quest to hand in 4 of these - she's nowhere to be seen in Gfay though.

Anyone else done the quest? Or know when she was implemented? I'm at a loss, but the exp for handing in the scalps would be welcomed of course ;)

isnt there also a hand in in HPK for them as well?

Yes according to Alla, just be nice for low levels not to have to get a boat and run to Highkeep to hand in :)

Looks like these scalps were indeed added to the Crushbone and Gfay orcs later on down the line.

With the giant patch a week or so ago, it said that:

Orcs can now be dismembered

After that, ppl began finding "Orc Scalps" or Orc Pawns and Centurions in Gfay and Crushbone.

These Scalps, unlike the ones found on Antonica, are worthless to merchants.

It also seems these scalps were added to Orcs in CB to possibly coincide with the addition of newbie armor quests for Kelethin-based Bards...

Here is a link to the patch notes from that month, which include a little lore about the goblins of Faydwer allying with the Crushbone Orcs which could have something to do with this. I'd also like to point out that this is in the Luclin era, about 6-7 months prior to the release of the Legacy of Ykesha expansion..

So the scalps that drop in CB can also be handed in in High Pass to Ashlan?

If so, AWESOME. 5pp per scalp is a little crazy imo, I hope this will bring the price down.

Orc scalps from Crushbone definitely work with Captain Ashlan in High Pass. I raised my faction from KOS to dubious with Corrupt Qeynos Guards, from indifferent to Ally with High Pass Guards, and apprehensive to warmly with Freeport Militia, turning in CB scalps in HP.

Oh, god that is awesome.

Awesomely not-classic though, I'd expect it to be changed back sometime as orcs on Faydwer did not drop scalps back in the day.
