If only McCain, who was more of a moderate at that time than he was down the road, had won the primary in 2000 and taken the oval office instead of W, we would have been so much better off and less divided. I attended one of the primary debates, and he was a fantastic politician back then.
Sorry you think a near EOL decision not to cast the vote that would strip away health insurance from those with preexisting conditions makes McCain a traitor. May you never be in a position where your family's health and welfare depends on those legal protections, or you might actually understand why the ACA, which was fucking Richard Nixon's healthcare proposal to begin with, is a bare minimum standard until it can be replaced by something else that isn't tethered to employment. |
