Interesting find Blake, thanks for linking it. I'll keep it on my radar. It's too early to treat it as more than something to keep one eye on once in awhile, but it's nice to see there are some like-minded folks out there with the skills to at least try to make something happen.

Zoning & Fog: These are key for a Windows mmoRPG

-DAoC style mob spawns where they give chase for a limited distance
then run back is no good. Give me full zones like in 1999.

-Fog ties back into mystery.

Pretty good so far, the one thing I haven't seen mention is Instancing.
This is a make or break point for me. I am totally anti-instance.
Real mmoRPGs are not instanced.
