Being attacked every time i AFK so i tested out a theory
 

Every time i afk or begin to med i can hear my character getting hit, from the other room or while alt tabbed. This is strange i thought. So i tested out a theory.

A lvl 20 wizard and myself were hunting scarecrows in WK last night / early morning and she showed me a safe area (a farm house, the one with Henina Miller to be more specific) free from the pathing bears and mobs in the area that was ok to med in. This proved to be useful as in the 2 hours or so we were there we could kill a scarecrow and go back to the farm house to meditate with no problems.

Now, today. I go back to this same area that we were in last night for the 2 hours, that i was told was safe (and in fact was). As soon as i afk / begin to med a bear starts to attack me.

Usually the mob is lvl 7-8 and green even though i am currently at lvl 17, but it never fails on this green server that wherever i am meditating or AFK i am attacked from out of nowhere immediately.

So, in addition to not being able to camp out to character select (issue still unresolved). I am also unable to AFK and step away from the keyboard.

I think maybe because im lvl 19 now, the bears etc that path through Henina's farm house are no longer attacking. But its weird, like i said. When she showed me the camp and said it was a safe spot it looked normal. The next day the bears pathing through the farm house dont look normal as they go through the wall, get stuck etc.

Inb4 should have picked the DE master race for AFK hide / medding :D

:p got attacked in Qhills by a lvl 3-8 bear while medding today so that throws that theory out of the window about them not hitting me anymore at lvl 19. Unless the higher lvl bears that path through the wall of the farm house like me now.

So it seems inconsistent, some bears walk by as i med and do nothing, others attack. And the pathing also seems to have changed from one day to the next.

Almost makes me want to lvl Blacksmithing as a Wizard, just because i can make so many paddings. JK.. im not going to lvl blacksmithing.

Anyone WTB skins ?

I tell you, every bear in the game finds me as soon as i med :p

Try crocs in Oasis then afk med in pillar 1 in the water. You could always cast invis on yourself before you afk med but the low level is prone to randomly fading

yeah thats some crazy stuff man, weird pathing changing day to day and mobs getting stuck in farm houses that they never even pathed through before.
