I really enjoy threads about custom content suggestions
 
Even though they're pie and the sky and implementing them is way too much to ask of Project 1999.

It shows that people are still loving this game, and letting their imaginations go wild (many of the ideas are great btw). Actually reminds me of playing the OG back in 1999, when anything seemed possible.

I regret not jumping on p99 until this year! Feels like I should have been doing this for the last decade.

The whole thing makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

Me too. Wtb custom tradeskill survival server with +3 max stat on any gear. And custom factions, quests, dieties.

If I had a say I would focus on easy fixes, quality of life for players and the server but then fun stuff to revitalize stale parts of the game

- optional: 3d target ring
- allow maps, everyone is just using a 3rd party tool now anyways
- pet windows
- skill windows
- any windows purposely hidden and requiring a macro
- any amount of hotbars
- save/load spellbar spell lists
- make meditation sit only, no spellbook required
- make food/drink useful

Class rebalancing/enhancements
- enhance stats that have no use. Stats need to be made useful, anything wasted needs to be rebalanced.
- In the tank forum, I read a good idea to add block if a tank has a shield equipped.
- enhance classes to allow more diverse playstyles. DPS warriors for example
- allow race/class combinations that weren't exactly classic, but also never minmax. Gnome SK for example.

- introduce spell and armor penetration

- Remove Legacy items from the game, or make them all no drop and make them all random drops in any zone. All they do it dissuade people from playing over FOMO, or waiting for the next server to capitalize on the temporary items.
- enhance group xp and nerf soloing somewhat
- have people suggest and come up with events in game with the help of a guide/events coordinator: every other week something new will happen anyone can be a part of
- rotating zems
- allow bards to quad back to regular mob #s, but make it more favorable for bards to group than quad in the first place.
- raid guilds have too much power over time sinks at the end game, which makes p99 staff spend all their time to focus on baby sitting them all. Bring back the /guildwar command or make all raid zones PvP
- bring back shared banking
- remove or reduce hybrid penalties
- make tradeskills more useful and change recipes every new server made, this could help bring life to useless loot/items in game, and bring back titles if you're the master of a tradeskill(is this in or not?)
- somehow make account specific macros and friends lists tied to people accounts
- random loot tables for zones that have limited activity over a certain period of time, not counting raid zones

I still think Veksar, SolC and Jaggedpine would add flavor to the server without breaking anything.

Id throw in nedarias landing with some mid level quests aswell.

I want a necromancer spell that summons weaker skeletons, but the pet commands work if you /petname attack on a skeleton you created, and you could create as many as you wanted but the cooldown of the spell was 1 hour, so you had to be online for a long time to have an army of skeletons.
