The smart play would have been to say “prove you have the money”. That would force you to find a way to prove it without doxxing yourself, and at the least would be an inconvenience. Shit, asking me to prove I had 10k would be the end of it for me, because I actually don’t have 10k in my checking or savings and am not good enough with photoshop to fake it lol

in any likelihood, he didn't serve, if he did and also provided his discharge paperwork, we would all just claim photoshop, and again, stolen valor. which at that point would also be a felony impersonation of service personnel. Theres some actual stolen valor laws. Should his claim actually be legit, its also highly likely that he wouldnt be stupid enough to dox himself, he has been smart enough to stay off without a good retort. but he didnt serve. most that served with distinction do not advertise or try to throw their service around as weight.
just a hole he cant get out of and he knows it, hence his silence. in a day or so we will receive a carefully worded message of deflection.
