Seems like a PR play since none of those leading democrats are considering setting foot in russia right now. The exclusion of republicans is obvious and intentional but also they aren't currently in the white house. It's good rage-bait though (look how republicans are so friendly with russia they don't even get banned from entering!) which is exactly the kinda shit russia wants to do to USA, make us hate eachother.

The neocons did that. I'm not saying we shouldn't be aggressive towards Russia, but we shouldn't be taking specific advice from people who seem to be gloating about how right they were when they are still dripping blood from their own abattoir.

There's a happy medium I'm sure. Somewhere between the feckless and spineless liberals and the warmongering neocons is a group that can destroy all the evil in the world while keeping us pure. Maybe Zac Snyder's Extended Cut Justice League idk.
