it doesn't matter what you can build, if you can't keep it running.
Russian ICMBs are all gonna explode on their launchers, and what does actually fly is gonna get shot down by local or global space based defense systems.
So for the past few decades we have been looking at Russia as a near-peer adversary, and now this conflict in ukraine has revealed the russian military to be entirely incompetent. This conflict has shown that the Russian army is still trying to fight wars like it was done in WW2, but yet somehow worse:
-Their logistics and supply chains are a joke. Seriously what near-peer adversary can't keep their tires inflated?
-Their strategy is imaginary
-Their equipment is not maintained up-to-date
-Their soldiers are largely conscripts, which never fight well in the field.
Thats not even half of it, think about a premier military air force's high altitude bombing capability.
So Russian jets are being shot down en masse in sorties, and the russians couldn't achieve air superiority, one thing that the U.S. would do in this scenario would be to utilize their high-altitude platforms which can release bombs outside of air-defense ranges, which then will glide 50+ miles to target.
This is basic stuff that we worked out against russian air defense systems in the Vietnam era, but Russia has not done it at all against Ukrainian SAMS which are largely that same technology.
AFAIK Russia hasn't even successfully performed any SEAD at all (suppression of enemy air defense)
There is so much more to address, like how they can't manage an amphibious landing, they can't air-drop supplies let alone troops, they can't support an armored column, which if not supported, reduces said armor column to nothing more than immobile steel boxes. They can't even feed their troops, this isn't afghanistan where there are no roads and the entire terrain is rocky and mountainous, Ukraine is flat, with a comprehensive road system like any other first world nation. They can't keep anything supplied at locations where a truck can simply drive to.
This historically venerated "Russian Army" has just got its ass beaten back by not the "Ukrainian Army" they have lost this fight to local rag-tag militia units.
This is a joke, its sad, and its embarrassing. Like an elderly man trying to pick a fight with a younger man. he just gets gently pushed away each time, and reminded its almost 4pm and that the early bird buffet special is on.
