I also want to live in mad max rather than pay taxes, so there's that too, it's really a win/win for me. But deep down, I like families and parks.

That's not in our nature. This planet runs on violence. Nature is violent. We kill. Animals kill. Organisms kill. We all consume each other and hunt each other and show no mercy.

That is Planet Earth. It is a violent place.

My theory is it's the nature we are designed to overcome.

We as humans have the capacity to overcome it, and sometimes do.

But peace through capitulation does not work. Not with a man like Putin. Ask Neville Chamberlain.

I agree we need de-escalation, and it seems there are no real attempts at doing that.

However, that doesn't mean conceding to Russia.

But we do need to slow down and take a few breaths here.

Russia would probably ease off if they had access to warm water ports. Them being blocked off from the Black Sea would be catastrophic for them.

We should be drilling and producing energy for western Europe instead of hamstringing people on a knife edge for virtue signal points. We have a prime opportunity to strengthen the usa but yet would rather strengthen our enemies that hate us. We could be leaving Russia and China in the dust building the usa so we can sever ties on our terms and tank china's economy.
