just saying if they do end up using these tanks that's a lot of war.

Abrams won't make a difference. The maintenance alone, let alone fuel, will keep them in storage. Ukraine will need specialists from the US or Poland if they want to run them.

Purely a political stunt.

The Leopards will be useful though since they run a Diesel engine.

It's about time Germany got off its fat lazy ass. Fuckin leeches.

They demanded the Abrams but yeah...I think we've agreed in principle to contracts replacing old garbage materiel for NATO countries.

Well yeah, if they requested them, we have to keep up the appearance that we're willing to support them.

But it'll probably take a few months before Abrams will be useful/used.

They require a HUGE amount of logistical support, specialized equipment, and personnel to operate. And then they are gas guzzlers.

The engine can run on a ton of different fuel, but it's ideal to use a special jet fuel.

Leopards will hit the ground running though. Any old diesel mechanic can learn that quickly.

I'm happy for all the multinational corporations who don't give a fuck about the US making millions right now.

So wholesome.

They probably hired Guatemalans to build the tanks too.

But they have an American flag out front...so you know they care

Our defense industries are doing a lot to keep our specialized industry alive. Not saying it’s a good thing, but europe can’t really build shit anymore and we still can to some degree

All of this stuff needs to be moved back to the western hemisphere (North America) in case of a catastrophic future conflict anyway. We’re gonna import generators from China once we’re at war with them? Cmon Jack!

I’ve been buying Raytheon stock since 1992 and I’d like to thank our satraps for their purchases

It would be funnier to sell Ukraine 50 reapers but have them based in Poland

Ukrainians are probably already putting the Reapers to shame with their smaller commercial Mavic drones.

The larger unmanned drones were probably built with air superiority in mind, something I don't think Ukraine has.

Reapers could hit targets in donbas or crimea from airspace over Poland

It would be hilarious
