Buffs lost on zoning
 

So far, I have lost every buff on me when zoning from East Karana to Gorge of King Xorbb, regardless of my HP, regardless of buff duration.

The only thing that's consistent is that I have Weak Poison on myself from the chasm crawlers in EK.

I've seen this happen when very close to death, or when buffs have very little time left on them, but this is happening at near 50% HP, buffs with 30 minutes left on them. Does the server really think an extremely weak DOT is going to kill me so it nukes all my buffs or what?

Do you have more +hp gear than actual hp remaining when you zone? If so, you "die". That's why you lose buffs. Take off an item or two of your hp gear and see where the hp bar has to be now for your buffs to fade. Don't zone when below that margin if you don't want to lose buffs. It can be useful to get rid of effects you don't want - like rabies or poison that will kill you, etc.
