Just for fun. What level should your main character be before you start an alt?

I've heard that there is no such thing as a dumb question. I disagree. This is a dumb question.

60, and only if their gear is up to snuff.

31 - 40 is when twink gear starts dropping. I hate selling stuff, so if I win a roll for something particularly nice, I'll just roll an alt and start building off that drop.
