New to Game (Help)
 

Hello everyone,

I'm currently stuck on trying to get this game up and running. If anyone could please give me a hand.

First - I installed (bought) the game on Steam. Includes the newest expansion.
I have NOT registered a real Station Account yet. Do I need to?
I then followed the "Getting Started" instructions from this site and extracted and added all files.

Here's my problem. I can't start the game! lol. I go into Steam, and I click Play Game. It gives a quick loading symbol on my cursor - then nothing appears.

Do you have a client I should be running? Any help would be appreciated. I will be checking the forums periodically tonight.

If you followed the setup guide, why did you try to open eq with steam?
You need to create an own shortcut (as listed in the setup guide), and use that.

I'm confused. Why would it matter if I open the game from Steam vs If I added a shortcut?

The game isn't starting regardless. But that has nothing to do with Project 1999. It wasn't starting in general, before I did the setup.

you need - "To get started, you must first obtain a copy of the specific Everquest client that is compatible with our server. This client is called the Titanium client"

follow steps 1-5 like the startup guide says

wtf is steam?

the shortcut is being said as important because you need to change what you log into. right now you are probably logging in eq live? idk. but ya I'd say titanium client is the first step.

Gotcha. I read closer - and saw that link to eq emulator.

I can't get titanium though.

AM I out of luck completely without that edition?
