'It's a hollowed out shell': Portland business owners say they're fleeing crime-ridden Dem-led city en masse after it turned from the 'crown jewel of the West Coast' into criminal-run city

"Business owners are fleeing Portland in droves amid a pronounced rise in crime and homelessness, officials in the Democratic stronghold have revealed.

Public data shows that since the pandemic, more than 2,600 downtown businesses have filed changes of address with the U.S. Postal Service to leave their downtown ZIP codes.

Several big-name employers, such Umpqua Bank, have been among the mass exodus, carried out by owners who have taken issue with the rising crime levels and homelessness - and the city's failure to address it."

See! Everything's fine! Nothing to see here, move along! :D

I believe the logic goes something like: "Punishing crime doesn't stop crime because sometimes criminals still commit crime even though there are punishments!".

And then there's bum shit and boarded up stores everywhere and these morons can't figure out why!

??-2020 Liberal: Big Pharma is the most corrupt industry on the planet!

2020-?? Liberal: Big Pharma will save us, shut up and take the Vaccine or you'll kill grandma!

You can replace Big Pharm with numerous terms. Completely lacking any moral compass. Haidt has a book that goes in depth about this and his finding is that by in large Liberals care about two of the five moral pillars, but they care DEEPLY about them, at the expense of the other morals. Whereas conservatives hold a balanced position on all of the pillars. Good read. The Righteous Mind

The threshold for felony theft($) may be too high.

People have realized it's a net loss for the state as it stands to punish them for 'minor' miscreancy.

In which Botten assigns credibility to the Qanon fever dream where the US government is filled with child-raping pedophiles.

The federal House doesn't rule California.

The state legislature does.

The Democratic Party currently holds veto-proof supermajorities in both houses of the California State Legislature.

Oh Tim Ballard is definitely a Qanon follower with alt-right figure Jordan Peterson, Ballard said that he had just raided a West African "baby factory" where children are sold for organ harvesting and "Satanic ritual abuse," echoing myths that have been pushed by the QAnon movement.

Sadly you don't need to look far to see ICE abuse are peppered everywhere in the system.

Additionally, Tim Ballard who recently left OUR riddled with disgust, Paul Hutchinson his rich backer being named as problematic groper in the foundation on two separate incidents.
