Edit: going to be less cryptic.
Essentially what is happening is the people contesting the map in court dropped the lawsuit because they were afraid republican lawmakers would make an even more gerrymandered map. The Court thus had no choice but to dismiss the case.

Essentially the opposite of Wisconsin. Political activists know to wait for sympathetic court makeups before sending their cases up.
