What I tell the parent too, is after you lock down their electronics…because most games are online-only now changing the router password locks them out of all their games too, pick an arbitrary amount of time. Then tell the kid it’s for that long, then add 1 week to that, and tell them that extra week is because they wouldn’t give up their phone when they were asked

Remind them that the next time it gets taken away, if they give it up when asked the first time, you’ll remove a week off the time consequence

I believe when it's an entirely separate species doing it according to its own instinct and the system of beliefs that arise therefore to another species, it's much more akin to simple natural selection, rather than classical eugenics.
