UI not saving?

so when i log off for the night and i come back, it saves that i used velious, but the windows are scattered all over again, each time... what is causing this?

Are you truely camping for 30 seconds, logging to the character select screen and clicking on quit and then logging off of the log in screen?

Make sure you're running EverQuest as administrator and that you have administrative rights over your folder/files. If you're running XP/Vista and you installed into the programfiles directory this is most likely not the case.

Edit: and yes, make sure you are /camp ing all the way out.

hey on this topic. for Ektar, it saves my music player list and starts playing automatically upon logging in (which I just love sooo much). But for any other character it doesn't do that, no matter how many times I have it playing as I camp out and all that good stuff. Any specific little variable I'm overlooking?

This is correct.

If you /Q nothing you have changed (with regards to your UI) will be saved.

Technically this is not correct. Your UI info is stored in your UI_charactername_project1999.ini file insofar as layout etc is concerned. Hot keys are stored in your charactername_project1999.ini file. Both of these files are instant changes and are saved whenever you make a change.

It sounds like your files are either read only, or you don't have administrator rights to make and save changes to these files. Do a search for the ini files and check the properties to see if they are in fact read only, otherwise make sure you run EverQuest with administrator rights (or turn off UAC).

the changes to UIs are not saved if you /ex out on a titanium client, definatly the case with the standard P99 UI

I noticed that hotbar 3 and 4 do not save with VurtUI for some reason.
