GM events = plat
 

So today I see Korrath, the Troll Druid running around with Golden Efreeti Boots, and wonder to myself, "How much plat did this nub make by selling his toon?". This is because I spent quite a while in EC watching prices, but saw Korrath for a long time saying crazy nub stuff for a week or two, decked out in patchwork.

So then, what happened to Korrath? I asked the guy if he bought Korrath, he said yeah. GM events seem like they are just ways for people to make a crap ton of plat off selling toons and accounts, so frustrating IMO.

I don't know if there is away around it, since the GMs are trying to reward newbies with cool items, but instead they just turn around and sell them.

I know just what you mean. I have a pally who was at the event where Korrath got the troll illusion. It was an event for lowbies. My paladin was and is level fifteen.I got the Holy Defender crown, Hands of Marr, Griffin Feather Cloak and Golden Veil. Sweet stuff. Good name. No rep.
