Is Primal weapons being unattainable really true classic?
 

IMHO no, not at all. I remember almost everyone's twink on my server having primal weapons (it's why they later added a level requirement for them).

I remember not being able to sell my Horn of Hsagra once I got my primal weapon. I couldn't even get 10K for it. Namely because primal weapons were basically the first version of welfare loot in an MMO imho and almost everyone and their alts had them.

I'm not even trying to advocate that they change this on P99 Blue either, but I don't think Primal weapons were ever intended to be this rare or prestigious, and that Luclin launching shortly afterwards made these items significantly less impactful in the traditional timeline of the game.

If you are in a primal motivated (racers) guild with keys, very possible.
If you are in a primal agnostic guild with keys, somewhat possible (see: Draft)
If you’re guild that doesn’t get keys, not possible

I'll be honest I don't play any melees on P99, so I don't really have a snake in the game, but I feel like Primal's are bad for the game in general. I managed to get my hands on a few of them on the Mischief TLP and it was a pain in the ass having to swap the primal weapon in and out every 2 minutes, even with the bandolier system. I feel like P99 prob better if no one has to worry about that non-sense.

I feel like if they did a new PVP server right now that it might be popular for a while since we haven't had a new P99 server in a second. I think a faction based server (like Sullon Zek) could be better because it makes you feel safe or cozy in certain zones, or areas, or at certain times. I spent a lot of time on Sullon Zek. I can't say I ever enjoyed the actual PVP, and that the game felt more like a horror survival game where I was frequently hiding and running for my life, but it was fun.

But also there was times where it felt completely safe, our team would take over Paludal caverns for a few hours, and then it would swap hands etc.
