I screwed up a year ago on something I didn't know. (high roll of dice for item issue) Got banned and (disgusted after so much time spent on character.) I quit playing since then. Interest has picked up again and found out can do a possible petition but have no idea how to do or if it would even be considered fixable. Any help/info available for restoring account? Thanks in advance!

Try in the petition forums. If you're still banned it was probably more than just a small issue. Did you try logging the account back in yet? It may have been temporary.

Yes I think that's what it was referred to. I tried to re-log and its still banned and says to contact customer service. How to petition in the forums? Thanks for your info and help!

Scroll down the subforum list, there's a petition forum there.

Give as much detail as you can...maybe they'll unban you, maybe they won't. You can always start over, right? ;)

Sounds to me like OP can't even properly admit to what he did.

"I screwed up" is such a weak thing to say as well when OP screwed others after a conscious decision to do so. Saying you made a mistake is not an apology or recognition of guilt or taking responsibility.

But I digress...

I’ve been in nbg groups where we’ve all rolled greed, but then someone is unhappy with who won (“they already have this lore item and shouldn’t loot it on a parked alt cos actually I need spell money”) so decide to just take the item despite not winning…

Was it one of these situations?

These are not mistakes sir. These are conscience decisions to do.

I have no sympathy. Hopefully they will leave you with the only option of starting another account. Yeah, I have no compassion...

If you do need to start over i’ll try get a few items together for you. Just something simple like a few pieces of blackened alloy including a sword.

I have sympathy; we all "consciously" do stupid stuff sometimes. So many things go into someone making those stupid decisions (mental health, life events, other players actions, etc.), and as outsiders we don't know any of that context.

But also, there's a price for stupid actions, even with context. If the penalty for breaking the rules is an account ban, OP should accept it and just start a new account. Just as I think we've all done stupid stuff, I'm sure we've all suffered consequences from our actions ... and very often those consequences are worse than "having" to replay the lower levels of an elf sim ;)
