Random Visual Bug
 

not sure why this happens but, ever since a few patches ago I'll randomly have times where blinking shields (orb of infinite void), or essence of nature style items, hell even swiftwind. They wont blink / be animated. Just static. Curious as to what file controls these item graphics and if I can just replace it from an older install to fix?

Try this.
go to https://wiki.project1999.com/EQ_Classic_HD , download and patch highres_s3d.zip (1.1 gb) and then EQClassicHDP99.zip (302 mb), overwrite all files.

However, I dont see flame of sword fire from some angel of view or red glowing aura of war epic

Edit: also like i said in the first post, it will randomly fix itself sometimes when passing certain amounts of lighting? don't know why that fixes it but it does every blue moon..... very odd

Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Could just be a big in them

I keep hearing about this problem but I've yet to experience it. FWIW I'm usually playing on a super old winxp pc with a super old nvidia card. EQ often doesn't play nice with modern hardware and operating systems.
