For the Wiki - Aegis of Life - Innoruuk Human Cleric

I'm not sure how to update the wiki, but for anyone interested, it took approximately 2274 gold to get from dubious to warmly on my Human Innoruuk Cleric for the Aegis of Life quest.

Was it worth it? Probably not, but it is done :D

Good job. I'm impressed.

Why do people do this quest? I remember how people on early green were camping Grimrot for ages. I don't see what's so special about the shield? Is it a pure nostalgia thing?

Aegis of Life has +10 WIS, and it can be equipped in the back slot. A level 60 Cleric would get 110 mana roughly speaking using Aegis of Life in the back slot if under 200 WIS. A Heriophant Cloak would give a level 60 Cleric 115 mana roughly speaking if under 200 WIS.

Aegis of Life is one of the better back items in the game for Clerics when it comes to Mana, and can be acquired much earlier than a Heirophant Cloak or raid item.

I do agree that the time spent camping Aegis of Life may not be worth it if you have another high level character that could get a heirophant cloak or other good back item for your cleric.

Back when Green hadn't unlocked Kunark, Aegis of Life was probably an even better back slot item for mana, as Heriophant Cloak and other good raid items weren't available yet.

If you are big into maxing out trade skills then 1 important factor in that is maxing out either wis / int to 255 for the best gains. 10 wis in a back slot definitely helps in that regard, especially in classic.

Vintage quest, fun, free.

At this point there are better options. Even loddy shields are probably a better ROI than spending time doing faction if all you do is kill and sell fine steel.
