Huge Login issues AT&T

I am having these issues during the evening in central time and it is across both AT&T fiber and AT&T Cell service (hot spot).

I am getting a number of issues when I try to login but they have also manifested when zoning where the game will drop.

1. I get a long "Logging in" dialogue after I enter account and password led by Err - A timeout occured.

2. I log in but the server select is empty.

3. I am able to select a P99 server but then it crashes while going to character select, which leads to an "active character on this server" lockout.

4. I log in but the character list is empty of my characters.

5. I get into my character list but I log in and crash similar to the crash I get while zoning.

6. I log in but my ping is 3000+ and I can't move.

I have tried the middleman idea but it doesn't change anything.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to avoid this besides a VPN? It is incredibly frustrating and makes playing the server not worth it at all during this time.

same

also have AT&T fiber and experienced the exact same issues
tried the dns flush and network config route with no luck. tried wineq, and same issues. I kept hearing that a vpn seemed to be a magic bullet for connection issues and inexplicably it was for me too.

There's not a ton of documentation around the why, but there's at least some limited explanation with the tech support wiki. GL!

Okay thanks, I'll check out a VPN.

I travel for work and subsequently stay in a lot of hotels and have ran into your exact problems with various hotel WiFi. Some brands and EQ just don’t mix and I imagine they are probably using AT&T. I never found a fix besides playing other games or staying in different hotels. I would suggest changing internet providers if possible.
