Afraid of Ban

Hey, guys! I just found out about this game from a friend that's having a lot of fun with it. I'd like to play with him but we would be using the same IP. I'm afraid to ruin his fun and get him banned. So, my question is: would I get him in trouble for playing?

Hi Khronu,

Thanks for asking. We have an option for you to play with another individual in the same home. Can you please reference this post, specifically the IP Exemption section for how to request this for your account.

If you are playing together two players must always controlled individually. Even if one has to take a break. For that reason it’s wise to always be present when your character is logged on, or to log off if the break will be a risk for your character being in game.

New players may not be particularly skilled but they should not appear robotic or as if one person is using two keyboards at once. Should a GM appear and open a conversation two people should be able to communicate simultaneously.

Getting an IP exemption as Vagaron mentioned is ideal, however it can sometimes take a while to be approved. The work around is to use a VPN, however do not think this will get you around the no boxing clause set by the server. As Snaggles states, always be sure a unique person is controlling each character, or you are likely to be subject to a boxing test, which 99.9% fail.

I wouldn't use a VPN unless the wait time is extensive. I hear they do them fairly quickly these days.
