Loading UI error XML files
 

I had to reinstall after a fresh installation of Win11.
when I change the UI I get an error XML files with current EverQuest files.

I tried several old standby UI like duxaui and some new (to me)ones by drakah and sakui all fail with the same message. Furthermore, I set the compatibility mode in property to win XP.

No change, do I need to rerun the patch or something?

I searched the forum but did not find anything helpful
I did run dgVoodoo as well.

Are you saying the custom UIs dont work? Or just getting the error message?

If its just the error but the UI works theres nothing you need to do. The errors would be with the UI itself and you'd have to fix the XML files and it could be outdated code for windows p99 doesnt even use. In the main EQ directory is UIErrors.txt and it'll list out things it doesnt like

If it's a "Your XML files are not compatible with current EverQuest files, ..." error, you can safely ignore it.

It's warning you of potential compatibility issues with the UI skin you picked, but as long as that skin still works, there's no (real) issue. Now, if you start crashing frequently or something, maybe switch skins, but otherwise you should be fine.

it silll not load any UI other than the ones that come with the install.

It just gives the error then goes back to default setting.

The UI will have to be compatible with the Titanium client. Drakah I dont believe has any UIs that would work with titanium. UIs designed for TLPs/Live servers will not work here

duxaui/sakui should work here though. If you are looking on EQInterface it has a section for Emulator Clients and the ones for Project1999 or Titanium should all be compatible. Theres a few other good ones posted to the p99 forums, duxa probably being the most popular one

If you are using a compatible UI and its still not working, could you post the UIErrors.txt
