Can anyone explain the current raid rules to a new P99er?

I don't raid on blue and haven't done properly in years but would anyone like to write a concise explanation of how it all works currently?

I assume all raiding guilds wouldn't say no to more players getting into their 50s and heading for 60 and looking to raid but one of the blockers is probably working out what the hell happens when the servers quake versus raid mob respawns etc.

Lets see it, and try to keep it civil :)

Greetings Swish!

This might help with the rules -

Project 1999 Raid Rules FAQ

The majority of the raid rules apply for both a natural spawn of a raid target and simulated server re-pop (earthquake) besides ones such as -

Q24: What happens if there's a simulated re-pop while we are currently in a raid zone?
A: As long as the person or persons that were in the zone leave that zone or go back to the race line and come back before doing anything with the desired raid target, you will not be DQ'd from that target (camping/logging out of game does not count). We do not want people socking re-pops, but we also do not want to punish players by preventing them from doing other things (like HoT, Juggs, Vindi, etc) for fear of getting their guild DQ'd. This should accomplish both of those things, but will be updated if/as needed.

I believe your best bet, if you're keen and willing to raid, is to join a raiding guild and let them guide you with how it works. Experience is experience, you can't teach it.

Enjoy!

This just confirmed I'm not missing anything at all.

Better to be rich in friends then have to endure that legal gauntlet for clout in what is a museum.

I wouldn't put too much value into anything swish touches. He's a known forum troll, and that's likely why this post has so few responses. People are leery of his intent.

Some know better, tho, and his intent is obvious. This post is just to troll players on the blue server.

In other words, we don't feed the trolls.

For end game, you get out what you put in. You're not automatically handed a set of BIS just for zoning in like in some other games. But the game can be enjoyable while raiding even if you don't intend to go for BIS gear.

P99 would be better (and more classic) if it had fewer/simpler raid rules.

Change my mind.

Agreed. Honestly there don't need to be many/any rules.

If you removed the rules people will train each other for a week or two and get bored of not getting pixels. It'll be self correcting.

Unroot dragons and undo unclassic nerfs to clickies.
