Vekis - Trooper Scale BP - Not spawning correctly

I just tried to do this quest. From triggered spawn (Sergeant Daelione's death) to depop, she lasted literally only 4 minutes. That was not enough time for me to unlock the corpse, loot the implant, and run to her. She despawned in front of me.

This would have absolutely been a rage inducing moment back in the day, but I cannot find any posts warning about this.

Not only that, it appears, based on these comments in ZAM, that Vekis was a notorious noob destroyer. This would indicate that she was up fairly often, and I doubt tons of people were doing the Trooper BP.

I think this means a couple things.

1. Her despawn timer is waaaaay too short here. There is just no way it's supposed to be 4 mins.
2. She isn't only a triggered mob OR Sergeant Daelione's death triggers her spawn if a mob does it (This is a common fate for him).

I did all the trooper scale quest except this one, I just couldnt see how I was supposed to kill the guy without getting killed by the whole town in the process. But I never tried. I just bought something in EC that was better. Probably no one has tried to do this in years.

I completed it last night (well at least I have the head, still need to turn in). I used harmony to get Daelione, but was able to single pull the Commander off the bridge. It's a tough quest for sure, but doable. The downtime on Vekis is way too short.

How does an iksar warrior have harmony?

I did it with a ranger and a necro.
