Legal question

If, in 2015, someone committed a crime of assault, in the state of California, either simple or aggravated, are they likely to still be in jail today?

Bro murderers would have gotten out by then.

But there are a great many number of student borrowers still paying their debt to society still today.

Maybe they should just murder their creditors

a symptom of the American Dream. when you get out of university, you spend as if you've made it - but really you have like $50k of debt to pay. so before you buy a house, a car, have kids - buy yourself luxury items - pay that debt.

Only 50k? You sure?

given that Cali is in 'MURICA, likelihood of still being in jail depends greatly on skin color.

Nope, not sure. I didn't go to university until I was in my late 20s, so by that time I qualified for financial aid - and I had good grades, so I got grants. I only owed about $15k after graduating.
