Leashing Mechanic & Charming
Ok, so "Lazy Leashing" or whatever it is called, so you can't infinitely pull a target where you want. For example: If I druid Snare Ayillish whom is now snared for 12 minutes. And I run my Dragon Faction butt over to SG or DN zone line. She's going to forget about me. That's fine I suppose. I won't beat a dead horse about this not being classic.
The real issue: CHARMING Now, Let's say you Charm a really strong pet, who will summon. Whether you are a Druid or an Enchanter. Whatever. Moreso a druid. Charm the pet, Savage haste it, thorns it, buff it with resists, whatever you have to do. Now, put it on the other high level/summoning Target. And GATE ACROSS THE ZONE. Cycle Button between Charmed Pet/Attack target. Let's say your pet wins, then Charm breaks. OH WELL. You won't get summoned, FREE LOOT! I think this is a problem. If you are far enough away and a charm breaks, your butt should be summoned back to Death. Please look into some sort of Summon Component from Long Distance if your pet breaks early during a 1v1 like this. In it's current state, if your Charm breaks mid fight and you WOULD BE summoned normally. You just are not from a distance. |
Sounds pretty inefficient.

You would not get loot if you are not in range to get experience. The corpse will poof. The same thing happens when a necro DoTs a mob (without a pet) and then Feigns Death when the mob dies. PAIN AND SUFFERING gets the kill, and the corpse instantly poofs.

I'd recommend finding evidence to support the bug ... which is a lot easier thanks to Dolalin's incredible classic research site: https://search.eqarchives.org/
In just a couple minutes I searched for "summon you" and found ... 1)This post, which implies (but doesn't state) that you can be summoned at any distance, and thus the only way to escape is to zone: Quote:
