Qeynos Aqueducts
How dangerous is this place for a level 6 High-Elf (good) enchanter? I popped in the other night via the secret vine covered wall entrance and met a red conning skelly that wacked me a couple times. I was lucky to escape with my life. Did I just pick a bad way to enter? The map shows 7 zone-ins and is listed as levels 1-15 and 33-38. I've never hunted here and wanted to explore, but not if it's just going to result in a hellish corpse run. It seems like a cool zone and when I dropped in I was the only one there. I won't shy away if it's hard, but I also won't bother if it's impossible. Thanks.

At level 6 you should just be outside crushbone / getting ready to go into crushbone. Always have your best animation spell ready to scribe.

the zone in by the bank is good and puts you right by Quburt for the +3 int earring https://wiki.project1999.com/Find_Lucie_Elron and the froglok camp for netted armor.

at level 6 you can do quit well in QA i dont think there is a better starting area.
So many quest items to turn in at surfall for a full inventory of like +1 stat items and 5 hp earings, rings and stuff. Magic gloves for monks. Injured rats, alligator eggs, frogs, cubes, everything there drops a great item for a fresh most classic start! If you can (good race) go to surfall to get some quests! |
The entrance from the newbie yard will occasionally have a dread corpse patrol. From the bank or seas tends to be better if you don’t want to risk that and can’t passthrough Blood Sabres.

its a confusing zone with lots of water which makes running from mobs close to impossible. as far as starting zones, there are some benefits to starting there. but in my experience its a lot faster and safer to level in an outdoor zone from 1-10 ish

If you want to learn it, and I recommend it. It was one of the last zones I tamed and really enjoy it.
Step 1 is pick a zone line to always enter. Then, like explore a little, run back, and keep doing that until you can run back without getting lost, and keep expanding and keeping track of the graphiti and stuff on the walls, it helps. It really wont take long before you can get the hang of the zone and a little while after that you can go from zoneline to zoneline without any trouble. But.. it does take a good hour or 2 of just carefully trying to learn the maze IMO. |
