Maps...
 

I started a few weeks ago. When I started, I noticed that I have functional maps to the newby starter zones.

While playing today in BB, and chatting with others in /ooc, I was told they dont have maps..

I had deleted all the old EQ stuff from my folders before I found and bought a new copy of titanium.

What to do?

They have disabled maps by setting the expansion flag before LoYkesha (and before Luclin) expansion, which is what introduced maps. However, I believe there is a client-side hardcoding which allows newbie zones to show maps always.

The overall goal on this server was to remove maps entirely (It's not "classic"), but as I mentioned above, they can't remove the client-side hardcoding.

I personally like the maps, and when I first entered Crushbone at level 7 only to find out I couldn't view them I was a bit disappointed =(
