Log in issue
 

Hi all,

Bit of background info first: I recently moved house and have a new provider, Orange, which has been providing us internet since yesterday. Everything's a bit slow internet wise but their technical dpt explained me it's because of the tuning period. I can however use(ish) internet.

Seeing how I haven't logged in for what it feels like a millenium due to me organising my moving, I tried to get my fix yesterday and today but it seems like the game crashes as soon as I select a character, it basically freezes on the picture of the character on the background for a couple of minutes then sends me back to the password screen (does this on any EQEmu server). I tried creating a new character, same thing happens as soon as the game tries to check the name availability. This happens on both our computers (lapto on wifi and desktop directly connected to the rooter). Any idea please? Thanks a bunch :)

I deleted the playername_project1999.ini file from my Titanium directory and was able to login just fine.

It might be an issue with the ui you are using. Try re downloading the default ui's, and making sure that in your eqclient.ini the ui is set to use the default one.

Thakns. I'll try that although I doubt that would work as I haven't changed the UI at all. Everything was working fine until I move to this new place and have this new provider. I wonder if that has anything to do with the port forwarding on my new router, but then how could I play games like Left 4 Dead 2?
