are the chanter spells chromatic? I know they became at one point.

Nope. They're either unresistable (tash series), or else MR (everything else).

Chromatic and Prismatic resists weren't introduced until... Dragons of Norrath? Don't remember the exact expansion. But they'll never be on P99.
