What breaks invis?
 

I can't remember what causes invis to break or drop. I know there was the random "it-might-drop-at-anytime" thing on lower level Invis/Camo's. But what actions cause it to break? Does hailing an NPC break it? Can you sell to a vendor without it breaking? Can you hand in quest items without it breaking?

The only actions I can think of to cancel it are turning on attack and casting. You cannot sell or hand in items while invis either, only while sneaking.

casting / autoattack / trades break invis

Looting is another one.

Selling to a vendor should break it.

Hails should not.

Undead NPC's will not hesitate to break your regular invis at very inopportune times.

Also, NPC AOE near you.

Also... Invis will drop when it is most inopportune to do so. :)
Try running up to a Hill Giant when invis just to get a better look.. Or, try running through a particularly nasty room in a dungeon.. :eek:

Annoyingly true.

try running to the bath camp in MM, and as soon as you get past the stairs it starts failing, leaving you with VERY little choice as to where to run to in the next 5 seconds

NPC will not respond to you with your "hail" if your invis.
