NFL Torrents

How come they don't exist?

Autotune 10-17-2011 09:00 PM

NFL peoples will come to your house and kick in your teeth.

PS. Seriously tho, they copyright everything, I don't think you can even record a televised game and watch it again.

Edit: I searched and didn't see anything about not being able to download torrents or have them. I was gonna skim the NFL copy rights page but it's definitely tl;dr

TV Shows and Movies are copyrighted as well, yet those are all over the place. What can NFL do that TV Studios and Movie Production Companies haven't tried?

maybe its more like once ppl know the final score they figure whats the pt... maybe they'll put highlights on youtube but EH

Rogean 10-17-2011 09:12 PM

eh, I like to watch the games even if I know the score. Sometimes I can't watch them if I'm working or etc. One thing I'd like to do too is rewatch all the 2007 pats games.

My best guess is that since they're time sensitive people don't really bother with it, coupled with the fact that it's easier to rip a movie than to connect your computer to a DVR by a capture card. Everyone has a DVD reader, not everyone has an HDMI capture card.

I see some sites, but not many. Also not many games.

I suppose if there is anyway that the NFL could deem a site/person/anything gaining profit from hosting an NFL torrent or link to a torrent they would probably get involved.

naez 10-17-2011 09:15 PM

it would be hard for the NFL to go after anyone, they can monitor the IPs on the torrent but what they gonna do send a C&D? the .torrent tracker sites arent responsible for their user's content, that would be horrible precedent, think of the trouble facebook/youtube/et al would be in for such a thing

True, but NFL is worse than the FBI imo.

It's more likely that there just isn't anyone doing it? idk. I would have thought it would be pretty popular, just never looked.

The only thing that makes me think there aren't tons of them is because of something with the NFL legally.

Every site I find that supposedly has them, wants me to sign up :(

I agree it is weird that there aren't more NFL/NBA/MLB games uploaded on torrent sites. The torrent site i use has very few professional games but has many different college games that are uploaded regularly
