Classic EQ Stat disclosure
When EQ launched in 1999, the way things like resists worked, mana and other things were hidden. What I mean is that like HP, you never knew how much mana you had or if you had X resists, how likely it was that a spell would land/not land. You could always cast a 20m spell x times to find out how much mana you had, but it seems like the devs either did not want you to know these things or simply forgot/did not have time to add them.
For example, in Diablo, when I leveled and put points into something or added gear with +stats, you could tell immediately what effect those stats had on your character. Is there even early code that exists which could explain how things worked in classic? |
