Are food "sizes" respected?

Hey folks,

I have noticed that my "Fish Rolls" - a "Banquet Sized" meal is used up at the same rate as a plain "a drink" water flask. Is this my imagination?

Not filing as a bug because although it seems like the rolls are being used up at the same rate, I havent tested this for a long enough period to be sure.

Anyone have any experiences?

Thanks.

sizes are ignored. buy some muffins, pal!

grindle 04-03-2010 10:12 PM

Yep same here "snack" "meal" used at the same rate ..so i just buy the cheapest :)

It's not an error or anything - the actual error is that the items say meal size. but that's built into the UI or something and is lumped in with the other things unrevertable

Oh?

Food sizes were built into the game later (ie: not at launch?)

edit: just searched through the patch message site and didnt see anything useful about putting in food sizes.

I did see one, from 2001 (velious) that mentions that forcefeeding food causes it to last half as long - http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20010417b.html - so it was in place during that time at least.

i couldve swore iron rations lasted longer during the classic era

Audacious93c 04-03-2010 11:09 PM

Im pretty sure they did too Atvaata...

Ektar 04-04-2010 12:14 AM

maybe the iron ration does, cuz I swear milk lasts shorter than water. but like the hearty meals.. bread.. muffins.. all the same!

atvaata 04-04-2010 09:29 AM

in fact now that ive my thinking cap on, iron rations did last longer than normal rations >_>

time to dig up the almighty prewf.

Murferoo 04-04-2010 12:20 PM

They positively lasted longer.
