Duo w/o Druid, Necro, Shammy, or SK

Hi all,

A buddy and I started a duo of necro/druid which was fun outdoors, but due to limits in dungeons, switched to shammy/SK. We have enjoyed that combo thus far, but are bored. As we now have some cash to twink the next duo team, we can pick "gear-dependant" classes. I have reviewed a number of other duo recommendation posts, but there are not many recommendations that don't include at least one of the above classes. Anyone have any creative duo combination suggestions that don't include druid, necro, shammy, or SK? Any advice you could give on good twink gear for the class you recommend would be most appreaciated.

Thanks.

Most effective and fun duo i've done was Druid Enchanter

Bard and monk.

Enchanter/mage is really awesome. Same with cleric/chanter.

If you want something unorthodox: Paladin Paladin

Those are good classes to pick for obvious reasons: slows, heals, snare, fear, etc.

If you want a more interesting way to game you might go chanter/cleric for charm killing. You can also go bard/chanter for more charm and kite action. Mage and Cleric is pretty awesome too.

A slower-paced game would be a Pally/Enchanter or Warrior/Cleric. If you had the funds with a warrior you could ToD slow well enough to keep up with heals for most anything.

Bard and anything, really. Bards are <3333 XD

Thanks for the replies. Both my friend and I don't want to do a bard so that is out. I like the idea of a cleric or paladin with something else. So far people have suggested chanter - so the idea would be to charm and buff a mob and send it on another mob? How does that work with camping named mobs? How often with the charm break?

If we don't go chanter, what else is good combo with a Paladin or Cleric?

A Rogue/Monk and Pally is a fairly nice grind duo. The Pally can hold aggro and proactively root park. The DPS just speeds up the killing process if they can keep aggro controlled.

Is it as effective as a Chanter/Cleric? No way. But you both get to whack mobs with weapons. :D

Edit: A rogue can ghetto-slow with a Locustlure. Scales 23-35% (lvl 13-60) and procs at level 46. It's sure not a Truncheon of Doom/Swarmcaller but a Rogue/Pally is going to have other limitations anyways depending on your scope.
