Sarnak Earring of Station - which zone?
 

My level 47 monk recently swapped out his TBB for an FBSS, so I'm looking for some STR to replace it. With a savings fund of zero after the FBSS, i'm searching for STR loot and came across the Sarnak Earring of Station.

I have read how rare the earring is but decided to give camping it a go to see what kind of luck I might have. There is a bit of info on Allakhazam of course, but wanted to hear some P99 specific experience.

So far i've spent about 5 hours camping enthusiasts and partisans at a sarnak camp in Frontier Mountains. I also briefly killed some Adherants in Lake of Ill Omen but there was a group there pulling most of them.

I was just wondering if any specific zone seems to give up the Earring more than others. The group who was camping the fort in LOIO said they have been there for quite a few levels and never saw one drop.

This is misinformation. I've seen at least two drop there, but I had advanced knowledge of which mobs dropped them and made sure we cleared as many as possible (and Legos for the bracer).

The wiki is pretty right so far in my experience.

Kind of rare, sort of like farming for a boe world drop epic in WoW.

Personally, I saw three of them drop during my time in LOIO from 19-30

i got mine while farming prods. well over 10 hours for 1

I saw one in LOIO myself.

Lake of Ill omen, just a rare rare drop

It dropped in Dalnir also on live.
Unsure if that was after a later patch or if the wiki just does not list it.
Definitely in the Velious time frame.

These also dropped from Sarnaks in Burning Woods on live. I got a pair there.

While farming braids in the OT i got 2 earrings, pretty rare. check out the huts that those sarnaks chill in and slay them over and over. Youl prolly get an earring for every 35 sarnaks you kill.

Thanks for the info guys, looks like LOIO is pretty popular for these. Which is good for me because they are the easiest to kill... :cool:

However I do love the sound of those odds!
