The Official "Bards Are Broken" Compiled Bug List
 
Will update regularly as people submit bard bugs here and as devs update us on the matters

1. Single target DD with knockback has no knockback (Boastful Bellow @ lvl 12)
Update (Pending Fix?): Update 2 - Rumors are FALSE. This is NOT fixed last patch.

2. Selo's Speed buff does not remove root/snare as it should.
(Update - Not classic, but not going to change..)

There were COUNTLESS bugs (that many are now called "features") that were later added saying that this was meant to be fixed for a long time. Classic EQ had selos remove root!

I just tested this, bard song LoS and caster LoS work exactly the same. At the end of spell casting there is a soft LoS check that will reduce the range on the song/spell being cast by up to 75% (not 50% like I said earlier, my bad) based on your casting skill with the spell.

4. Bard faction song does not work (I've been rigorously testing this .. before I go to cb, I'll sing this song on a kelethin npc to see if faction changes, go to cb, come back and see if faction should have changed from the song) because I want my smithing expenses lowered. Any bit helps.

5. Elemental rhythms and purifying rhythms do not stack

Since Guardian Rhythms has AC in slot 1, and Magic resist in slot 2, it wouldn't conflict with either Elemental or Purifying Rhythms.

The spdat is a reliable source of information for those that know how to interpret its data.

6. Bard songs do not last through zones for the last few seconds, such as selos

7. definitely an issue. (its also the same as 9)

8. If you are singing a song and then get on a boat, the song will continue playing.

Thanks for clarifications --

For the selos, I could have sworn it used to break roots. Where is the source for this? Even if it was a bug patched, it was still classic .. there are COUNTLESS bugs that were never changed with the argument that it was classic.

Confirmed intended not classic possibility.

So if there's a note that said "We meant to add this a long time ago" or "we intended to add this before kunark", you will add it to the game/change the mechanics if I can provide the patch notes? Changing selos based on what was supposed to be intended for classic and what actually WAS classic can change this game entirely based on what you say for this. Why is ice comet in game via the easy quest? What about mage sword procs? Aren't these more important to fix than a bard that can't do too much to begin with breaking a root :P

This was a bug, so please add it to the game as it was intended to be classic considering Selos was a bug and it was fixed outside of classic era
