Eejag resists Malo
 

Eejag, the Iksar in the lava in Lavastorm, resisted both casts of my unresistable Malo spell earlier.

Malo has no resist check. You're probably seeing a belly caster requirement.

I'd always been able to cast Malo on belly casters from a distance before. Perhaps it has changed?

Next time we drop Eejag I will get in belly range and try it out, for the sake of experiment.

Make sure you're not casting from outside the lava either. It acts as a barrier just like water. But now that you mention it, I'm fairly certain that spells with no resist check should land on belly casters regardless of range, based on my experiences with tash and OOS.

This engagement actually took place on the path leading into SolB; the server hasn't been patched since his proximity was fixed. Maybe this has something to do with the anomalous mechanic.

I will try to isolate the issue upon my next opportunity.
