PL with a mage...
 

Looking for some information on the best way to pl with a mage. I know it's not like pling with a druid (or insert better class here), but I'm looking for any tips on getting the most out of pling with my mage.

Best to use the Torch of Alna, http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=694. This is for the Fire pet. Just beat the mob down to about 5% health and click on the torch, Poof, pet gone. Let person finish killing mob. Rinse and repeat. Give the person your damage shield also.

Have a nuke ready to save the person you are PLing in case things go wrong.

still works ok at lower levels if you have the 33 pt ds that eats through lower level mobs. you can also summon a pet to do < 50% damage to speed up killing.

im currently 39 so i only have 18pt ds but been working well so far. I do have all focus items so that will help with the fire pet. I will try these suggestions and keep fighting the good fight, thanks guys :)
