The best version of VZTZ died on my watch (as people are quick to remind me), so you don't need to speculate on why - I can just tell you. I didn't know how to fix the various hacks (zonecmd, MQ2 zone crashing), and the server owner's wife was sick of him running an EQ box out of their house.

It had population in the 200's when it went down btw, and in my several years of playing/staffing there I don't think there was a single thread complaining about global OOC, pvp kill broadcasts, or an increased exp rate. Not one.

Of course there weren't any complaints, the server was a cesspool of cheating lazy scumbags who don't play games legitimately.

Their opinions are worthless here. This isn't vztz. Let's not turn it into that since the scope of this project has NOTHING to do with any of the custom faggotry that server embodied.

Of course a server populated by the most loathsome trolls on the internet would never complain about OOC.
